For us, it’s such a nice escape from the city and the hustle and bustle of New York where we live. It is peaceful, and the views are unbelievable. I love it when it’s just the two of us—or the two of us and our dog—and we have the quiet, surrounded by the forest and those incredible views. We’re super excited to not only bring people to visit this awesome house but also to share the town of Asheville.

Bruce made himself so accessible very early on, and when we were looking for land up here, he was incredibly helpful. Having a vision for what would be possible—where they could construct, how a driveway could be placed, and what our views would be—was invaluable for us, especially since we had never even owned a home before. It was a brilliant experience. The FaceTime video calls from pieces of land we hadn’t yet seen in person were such a valuable touch, and Bruce was always happy to offer that. The architectural design team was fantastic at understanding what we were trying to achieve and translating it into 3D software. We were able to “fly” through the house and around it—see it at sunset, at sunrise, during different times of the year—all before it even existed. I honestly don’t know how people used to build or buy homes before that technology. When there were spaces that didn’t feel fully utilized, we could see that visually and say, “Oh gosh, that’s empty. That doesn’t look as perfect as we want it.” Then we could customize from there.

The standard of the product is extremely high—the finishes and overall quality are outstanding. And when there have been issues, which you can reasonably expect when building a home of this size and complexity, the team has always handled them quickly and thoroughly. They’ve brought the level of the home up to exactly what we wanted and anticipated.
